Eva and Alberto

We are Eva and Alberto Frassineti. We are married and are internal members of the Focolare Movement.

Since the birth of the Economy of Communion project (Brazil, 1991), we have felt a strong call to adhere to it through work. In 2001, we founded a business consulting company together with three other partners with the aim of living the Economy of Communion project. Alberto contributed to the construction and start-up of the “Polo Lionello Bonfanti” business centre, while Eva was president of the Polo Lionello Bonfanti management company (E. di C. Spa) for nine years.

Since the end of 2007, we have been working together to support Institutes of Consecrated Life, an area that we immediately prioritised.

Since 2011, we have supported some General and/or Provincial Councils, developing a method based on the principles of co-construction with the client and 'working in communion'. This method has been refined over the years and is also developed through participatory and facilitation methodologies.

Specifically, our work aims to support the redesign of the Institute or Province by providing accompaniment that begins with the realisation of the specific charism through reinterpreting the founding principles. Secondly, in order to respond to emerging needs in the contexts in which consecrated persons work, we analyse which activities and services to support or initiate in the near future, and which to eventually cease. Enhancing members, both consecrated and lay, helps define a strategic plan based on the charism within the concept of sustainable projects that are not only economic, but also charismatic, ecclesial and relational.

Since 2016, some institutes have also asked us to support them during their assemblies and general or provincial chapters, from preparation to development. In these situations, we assume the roles of moderator and/or facilitator. During these events, we utilise participatory methodologies tailored to the specific objectives required, paying particular attention to intercultural and intergenerational contexts.

In 2009, together with Luigino Bruni and Sister Alessandra Smerilli, we organised the conference: Charisms, Economics and Management, and from 2012 to 2019, we ran the course Governing Charisms.

To date, we have collaborated with over 56 institutes, including female, male and mixed communities.

In October 2023 and 2024, Eva participated in the first and second session of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops as a facilitator for the Italian language.

We also participated together as Italian language facilitators in the International Meeting 'Parish Priests for the Synod' (29 April – 2 May 2024).

From 4 to 6 June 2025, we facilitated the annual meeting of the moderators of international lay associations, ecclesial movements, and new communities organised by the Dicastery for the Laity, Family, and Life.
